Festival Time...

6 weeks of exciting u15G team play still remains plus some cup action! But now is the time to get ready to register for the 2008 edition of Lochside Parks 'World Cups'!

Last year we had a good turn out from our LakeHill players and hopefully we'll get even more of you to particpate this season! Online Registration opens on January 15th! Robert will have forms at the Jan.19th game! Remember this event fills up really quickly!

Game 12 made up!

This is what we wrote BEFORE the game:

Prospect Lake is a well coached team with a solid core of players! The LakeHill '93s have always had tough matches vs the Glanford Park team! In our first match of the 2007/8 season against PLSC the red/white stripes played well, hit a few cross bars but lost to the Lakers who combine kicking strength with lots of speedy runners who move the ball very well >> this will be a tough match! Robert is picking a score of 6 offside calls for PLSC vs 3 for LakeHill!

Notice that we mentioned 6-3! So looking back at this afternoons game is anyone surprised that LakeHill had 6 opportunities to score while PLSC threatened on three occasions! In the end the offiside count was 4-2 and LakeHill had one ball in the back of the PLSC net called as an offside!

The difference in this game was the lack of finish! We lost two points because our game was a bit frantic at times. Callie, Clair, Michelle, Tabitha and Dayle ensured that our defensive line held strong. Christina ensured that any balls that came near her where sent right back to the middle of the field.

So we started the new year with a point and a good run-out against an always strong PLSC team! Back to training on Monday! 5.50pm at Compton's!
