Spring Academy [or: 'Play in May']

A number of current and past LakeHill FC players (many pictured below) took to the UVIC Turf on a sunny but windy May 27th to watch the two main local soccer academies (EMSports and FCVic) play one another! Both u13-u15g teams had slightly modified line ups for this encounter with EMSports promoting four of their U13s to particpate while FCVic called up some GorgeFC players in what turned out to be a nil-nil draw. EMSports dominated the first half and would have been up 2-nil where it not for some excellent saves by the FCVic/Gorge'94 keeper!

In the second half with a strong wind blowing most of the action centred in the middle of the park as both teams played with strong defenses. Both teams can look forward to more training sessions before EMSports plays three US based academy teams and FCVic will challenge the third locally based team from Brett Hyslops' WorldCups Academy.
