Paul Askew has once again assembled a competitive Lakers team that both lays the ball off and kicks the ball well. A goal against in both halves that came as a result of defensive let-downs for the Reds. The Reds certainly had their chances to level the game in the second 40 minutes with two posts and one excellent shot by Celine that was just tipped over the post by the PLSC keeper.
Overall the LakeHill girls can be happy with the improved effort and especially the second half. Next game is a 'road trip' to Salt Spring Island!
PLSC has nice new unis this season! While some players miss the the Aston Villa/Westham colours of their former club ;)
Thanks to both Goalies: Jessica and Maressa for great efforts! Clair, Lisa, Dayle, Jenna, Dani, Tabitha all had strong games! At the end of 80 minutes the entire team can be pleased with their individiual work ethic. The coaches will turn up the intensity in the weekly practices starting on Monday!
