Strong defending in our end meant to play simple , cede
Throw Ins rather than allow BaysU into our keepers 18...
Michele and Dayle had very very strong games.. we where missing two of our regular defenders and had to shorten the bench to only 12 players during this match so the players where all called on to bring their best game...and they did!
The first half would end scoreless... and the first 20 minutes of the second half would be a continuation of the first half with one noticeable change... the Reds managed to get the ball into the BaysU final third of the field on 4 occassions. Once with
Danni hitting the goal post! The only goal of the game came as a result of 4 LakeHill players each getting a touch on the ball with
Tanis' boot being the last to touch the ball before it found its way past the BaysU keep (who really did not get a lot of action in this game). Bays would roar back in multiple waves only to be stopped by
Callies strong goal tending and a total team defense that saw the midfield come back to get short passes from the defenders in an effort to keep the ball out of our 18. BaysU Rebels are an excellent team, and
on November 10, 2007 the LakeHill Reds played their best "Team Defense" game of the last three seasons and on this day they where rewarded with three very valuable points!
The three former CB players on the field all played important roles in this match !
